Honoring the Memory of September 11, 2001

On the 23rd Anniversary of 9/11, the Robert Irvine Foundation joins America in reflecting on the events that forever changed our nation. It has been over two decades since that tragic day, but the memories remain vivid, the pain still present, and the courage of those who responded continues to inspire us all. It was not just a day of great loss, but one of extraordinary bravery and unity. It is a day when we remember the nearly 3,000 innocent lives lost, the first responders who charged into danger, and the countless families who were forever changed. All these years later, first responders are still dying from diseases caused by toxins inhaled while on site trying to save people who were buried beneath buildings. Today, we honor their sacrifice and pray for their families.

Today serves as a reminder that even in the face of unimaginable tragedy, the American spirit endures. We remember the resilience, the selflessness, and the compassion that emerged from the ashes of that day.

As the years pass, we recognize that fewer Americans have firsthand memories from 9/11. A new generation is growing up in a world that is shaped by the events that took place on that day, yet distant from its immediate impact. As we witness ongoing challenges and changes in our world, the lessons of unity, strength, and resilience that 9/11 taught us are more relevant than ever. This year, it is crucial that we continue to share the stories of courage and sacrifice from that day, ensuring that the legacy of those we lost is never forgotten.

At the Robert Irvine Foundation, we believe that honoring the memory of 9/11 goes beyond remembering the past—it involves active participation in ensuring a better future. We invite you to join us in this mission. Together, we can ensure that the legacy of 9/11 lives on—not just as a memory of tragedy, but as a symbol of the enduring strength of our nation.

Thank you for standing with us as we honor and remember.
