Dear Friends,

It is an honor to share that the Robert Irvine Foundation has been a proud member of the Face the Fight coalition since 2023. Face the Fight is a coalition of corporations, foundations, nonprofits, and veteran-focused organizations like us that have joined together to support and raise awareness for veteran suicide prevention.

Face the Fight was established with the support of USAA, Reach Resilience, and Humana Foundation, with strategic support from the Elizabeth Dole Foundation and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.

The mental wellbeing of our nation’s heroes has always been a priority for the Robert Irvine Foundation. We have deliberately designed each of our Food, Wellness, Community, and Financial Support programs to help improve the mental health of our service members and veterans. However, as part of the Face the Fight coalition we are now enhancing each of our programs with evidence-based suicide prevention strategies. I would like to share with you a few ways that we are doing this.

At our programmatic events, the Robert Irvine Foundation is offering safe storage devices for firearms and medications. In addition, we are providing access to trained peers who can assist in creating a Crisis Response Plan (CRP) and Safety Plan (SP) for our service members, veterans, Gold Star Family, and military family participants. However, this is just the start. Being a part of the Face the Fight coalition, our team is dedicated to serving the ever-changing needs of our nation’s heroes to help fight against veteran suicide.

Thank you for believing in us and our commitment to improve the mental wellbeing of the brave individuals who have, and continue, to sacrifice in defense of our freedom.

Sincerely,

KNOW THE COST. HONOR THE SACRIFICE.
